Terms and conditions

1. Definitions

1.1. "Company" refers to Boutique Wilderness Expeditions.

1.2. "Client" refers to any individual or entity booking an expedition with the Company.

1.3. "Expedition" refers to any travel service or package offered by the Company.

1.4. "Booking" refers to the reservation of an Expedition by the Client.

1.5. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1. Booking Process: All bookings must be made through the Company's official booking channels. A completed booking form and payment of a deposit are required to secure a reservation.

2.2. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total Expedition cost is required at the time of booking.

2.3. Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid no later than 90 days before the departure date. If the booking is made within 90 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

2.4. Payment Methods: The Company accepts payments via bank transfer, credit card, and other payment methods as specified on the Company's website.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

3.1. Cancellation by the Client: Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt by the Company. The following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 90 days before departure: Loss of deposit.

  • 60-89 days before departure: 50% of the total Expedition cost.

  • Less than 60 days before departure: 100% of the total Expedition cost.

3.2. Cancellation by the Company: The Company reserves the right to cancel an Expedition for any reason, including but not limited to insufficient participant numbers or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation by the Company, Clients will receive a full refund of all payments made. The Company is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the Client in preparation for the trip.

3.3. Force Majeure: The Company is not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from cancellation or alteration of an Expedition due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics. In such cases, refunds or rescheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

4. Responsibilities of the Company

4.1. Service Delivery: The Company agrees to provide the services outlined in the Expedition itinerary to the best of its ability.

4.2. Safety and Security: The Company takes reasonable measures to ensure the safety and security of Clients during the Expedition. However, the Company is not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage resulting from circumstances beyond its control.

4.3. Changes to Itinerary: The Company reserves the right to make changes to the Expedition itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances or for the safety and well-being of Clients. Any significant changes will be communicated to the Client as soon as possible.

5. Responsibilities of the Client

5.1. Travel Documentation: Clients are responsible for obtaining and carrying all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, and vaccination certificates.

5.2. Insurance: Clients are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal injury, and emergency evacuation.

5.3. Health and Fitness: Clients must be in good health and physical condition to participate in the Expedition. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to the Company at the time of booking.

5.4. Compliance with Laws: Clients must comply with all local laws and regulations of the countries visited during the Expedition.

6. Liability and Disclaimers

6.1. Limitation of Liability: The Company's liability is limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the Expedition. The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

6.2. Third-Party Services: The Company is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers, including airlines, hotels, and local tour operators.

7. Governing Law

7.1. Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the country in which the Company is registered. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that country.

8. Acceptance of Terms

8.1. Agreement: By booking an Expedition with the Company, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

9. Amendments

9.1. Changes to Terms: The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any amendments will be communicated to Clients and will apply to all bookings made after the date of the amendment.
